The tester uses a specific size (0.5mm * 250mm) and material (Ni80/Cr20) of the heating wire. The wire is pre-annealed with a specified heating power (0.26W/mm) and heating time (8S to 12S), and then wrapped in 5 complete turns around the specimen with a specified wire spacing of 6mm. The specimen with the heating wire is tested under the specified heating power (0.26W/mm) until ignition or for 120 seconds. The fire hazard is assessed based on whether the specimen ignites or the ignition time.
The box has an internal volume of ≥0.5 cubic meters, with a glass observation door.
